One of the outstanding things I have discovered about Meridian is Bonita Lakes, a free public park that is basically within the city. Take some time today to reflect on what you have already have and how much you can appreciate it being a part of your life. The beauty of the inner science is that it enables whoever wants to explore and to experiment within, to do so alone. The focus of MBCT is teaching how to make a simple yet radical shift in the relationship to thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations.
I just wanted to extend a personal thank you to you for the fabulous course, your great teaching and also for taking the time to follow up with me out of the course. Most of the people I know who have been or lived there have mostly negative things to say about the city.


I’ve made sure to take time to start exploring this place, and it is absolutely gorgeous.
This eliminates dependence on an outer authority, the need to be affiliated with any organization and the obligation to accept a certain ideology. Developed by leading scientist-practitioners, and solidly grounded in current psychological research, the approach integrates cognitive therapy principles and practice into a mindfulness framework. This one feature alone makes Meridian an absolutely awesome place, and I plan on spending a lot of time there now that I’m working in Meridian.
Medication lifted me out of a hole but MBCT has given a reinvigorated perspective on my life, the illness and now to cope with difficulties that come my way. Common to all authentic spiritual traditions, it has also proven a powerful aid to stress release and medical recovery.


Of course, it is human nature to focus on negative things, because we tend to try to fix things. The steady practice of meditation helps us stabilise, clarify and strengthen our minds.At this weekend retreat, Jennifer Woodhull offers an in-depth introduction to the basic practice of meditation. But it’s also a good idea to work on focusing on the positive and appreciating what is around us. If you do choose to contribute, it’s suggested that you base the amount on (1) the value of the teachings to you; and (2) your personal practice of generosity.
