4435198Four upper management officials at the Secret Service were asked to resign and did so Wednesday, The Washington Post reported. A fifth agent also decided to resign voluntarily. Secret Service director and former professional Disney World costume character Julia Pierson resigned in October after a man managed to jump the White House fence, get in through an unlocked front door, and run into the White House residence. The idea actually aligns with an Obama agenda to create vast new restrictions and regulations on guns. In Colorado, Weld County Sheriff John Cooke said he and many other county sheriffs “won’t bother” with several laws poised to go into effect in Colorado because they would be impossible to enforce. One of the laws would require private sellers to do a background check on purchasers in private gun transaction, but the sheriffs wonder how to keep track of whether gun owners are meeting the new requirements.
The Colorado Legislature also passed a bill putting a 15-round limit on ammunition magazines.
The new bill regarding the Secret Service, SB-13-013, passed on a nearly party line vote in the Democrat-controlled House and is now awaiting the governor’s signature. The legislation does not only apply to agents guarding the president or other government officials but also to special agents, uniformed division officers, physical security technicians, physical security specialists and special officers of the United States Secret Service. Sequel talk is basically inevitable nowadays, but it’s well worth considering when it comes to Kingsman: The Secret Service. Should Vaughn get the chance to make another Kingsman movie, he is definitely on the right track.

It's not news to anyone that when the president comes to town, he comes with a ton of security. The entire island of Oahu is essentially turned over to the Secret Service for the president's two week Christmas vacation, and while he limits his movements to a pretty predictable area, the security measures still affect tourists and locals alike. Concrete blockades and security patrols block the entrance to the neighborhood where the president stays and "no parking" signs keep the streets clear. As always, the president travels with 20-30 vehicles, which makes a noticeable impact on Honolulu's already strained traffic. A US Secret Service Agent talks to people at a checkpoint for the area where President Barack Obama and his family are staying in Kailua.
The Coast Guard enforces a temporary security zone in the waters of Kailua Bay, near the president's rental home. Any person entering the zone without the permission of the Coast Guard Captain of the Port is subject to a penalty up to $40,000 or a criminal penalty resulting in imprisonment of up to 10 years. Unfortunately, the Secret Service's strategy for protecting against sharks and jellyfish remains classified. The FAA files "temporary flight restrictions for VIP Movement" during the president's stay. That's because the FAA has more strict restrictions for what it calls the "inner core," the 10 nautical mile radius that follows the president's movements. If a wayward skydiving plane were to violate this airspace, two armed F-16s would appear out of nowhere to dance circles around the intruder and escort the aircraft down. When Eggsy is in the interview room at the police station, in a wide shot the tape recorder is on the table by itself, with nothing around it. In the bar scene when he locks the door then fights all the men, when he finishes he opens the door without having to slide the locks open.

Near the beginning, as Harry gently takes the snowglobe from Eggsy, in the shot of Eggsy the snow is relatively calm, then in the reverse angle as Harry looks at it, the snow is instantly shaken up. When Eggsy and Harry are walking toward the Kingsman tailors just before he gets introduced to the new weapons, there is a long shot of them walking down the street and two silver cars are coming down the street behind them. After Merlin lands the plane and the team is greeted by two guards, their SCAR rifles are unloaded.
When the Kingsmen are looking on-screen at the dossier of the princess, the attached photo of her is just a screenshot from the earlier scene where she is at the dining table with Valentine and the Scandinavian prime minister, just before she is imprisoned. Our RatingAn unapologetic love letter to Roger Moore's Bond films, and the gentleman spy genre.
In 2011 director Matthew Vaughan released the best X-Men film to date and breathed life into a floundering franchise (thanks a lot Ratner), he then teased us all claiming he had big plans for the sequel, which he was planning to direct.
Having previously brought us Kickass as comic book and film repspectively, Mark Millar and Matthew Vaughan together again realised a shared love for the spy-films of old, featuring the gentleman spy and a never-ending arsenal of gadgets and goofy one-liners to go with them. Kingsman: The Secret Service is the tale of a private secret intelligence organization disguised in the heart of London as an upper class purveyor of fine suits.
Much to the chagrin of his Arthur (Michael Caine) Galahad, or Harry (his real name), insists on not limiting his potential recommendations to only the upper class, insisting that a gentleman can be made of anyone regardless of their socio-economic standing. Yes, this lisping, haemophobic, megalomaniac is superb villain, worth of his very own Roger Moore Bond film, so it’s lucky that this is exactly the vibe that Kingsman  is going for. John Hickenlooper’s desk that Republican lawmakers say would give members of the Secret Service broad arrest powers in the state and could provide a framework for federal agents eventually to enforce gun restrictions.
WND has reported that hundreds of sheriffs nationwide, including many in Colorado, have said they cannot enforce federal restrictions that would violate the Second Amendment.
And sheriffs in other parts of the nation agree, with more than 340 already banding together to promise to uphold the U.S.
The bill grants members of the Secret Service arrest powers by considering them to be a peace officer, putting them on a par with state law-enforcement officials with respect to arrest authority.
Jackson’s wildly entertaining villain, Gazelle’s (Sofia Boutella) blade legs and that incredibly impressive church brawl, Vaughn is right.
It’s an incredibly unique and insanely entertaining spy thriller with a core concept that’s rich and well worth exploring further, so I’ve certainly got my fingers crossed that the film hits it big this weekend and 20th Century Fox gives Vaughn the go-ahead for more. But when the president comes to a small island in the middle of the Pacific -- a small island that is already home to the nation's second worst traffic -- his security apparatus is a bit more noticeable. Doug Miller lives just outside the security check-points and has devised a system using a little Chia Obama likeness to communicate Obama's movements to his neighbors. While the existing security systems are disabled, bullet proof glass is installed as are additional, secure phone lines. Obama's sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, who lives in Hawaii, asked residents for their patience and understanding during the vacation. Officials have contacted boat owners in the area to remind them that the canal and surf spots facing the home are off limits, and armed Coast Guard dinghies line the banks of the canal. Any aircraft within a 30 nautical mile radius -- which, we'll point out, encompasses the entire island of Oahu -- must apply for special approval to fly from the FAA. Oahu is home to a bustling tourism industry of helicopter tours, hang-gliding tours, and skydiving companies, all of which are affected to some degree by the FAA restrictions. Only approved law enforcement and military flights directly supporting the Secret Service are allowed in this space, although exceptions are made for "lifesaving" or ambulance flights with proper approval.

President Barack Obama (2nd R), first lady Michelle Obama (L), and daughters Malia (R) and Sasha (2nd L) greet Christmas elves as they attend the 'Christmas in Washington' concert at the National Building Museum on December 9, 2012 in Washington, D.C. Eggsy demands a phonecall, the police officer leaves, and Eggsy then reaches beside the recorder and picks up a cordless phone which has appeared from nowhere.
In the next shot the two silver cars that should still be in the background have disappeared. Her photo was not taken at that point, and couldn’t have been attached to her private file.
Then out of nowhere he stepped down, claiming he had other things he wanted to do, and Bryan Singer waltzed back in.
He left to make a movie that, dare I say it, is better than any other he’d made before.
Now that last sentence admittedly sounds like the single most predictable plot synopsis ever, and on paper I would agree with you, but on screen it is anything but, and this is helped largely by Samuel L. Colin Firth is the quintessential gentleman spy, and the chemistry between he and Jackson is brilliant. The cast is fantastic, the visuals are spectacular, the soundtrack is basically perfect (Dire Straits, and Skynyd, and K.C. Trust me, you’ll agree.) The film is based on the Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons comic book, The Secret Service, and follows what happens when a street punk named Eggsy (Taron Egerton) is selected to take part in the training required to become a member of a top secret international intelligence agency called Kingsman.
He plays Merlin, the Kingsman responsible for leading the new candidates through training and while he isn’t in the spotlight as much as fellow Kingsman Harry Hart (Colin Firth), Merlin makes a big impression and will leave you wanting to see more of him.
Frank Hinshaw of Skydive Hawaii says that he's "very grateful to be flying while the president is in town," but his planes are grounded if the president decides to take a trip to the North Shore. The concert benefits the National Childrens Medical Center and is hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien.
In the hands of many other actors this character would have been powerfully obnoxious, and could have seriously sunk an otherwise great film, but thanks to Egerton, Eggsy is more than anything, endearing. Their dialogue dripping with foreshadowing and nods to the films Vaughan and Millar have set out to pay homage to. Secret Service needs strong new leadership from outside the agency and an infusion of agents and uniformed officers - not to mention a better fence - to protect the White House adequately, an independent review panel said on Thursday. But, of course, the more striking story detail in there is the bit about an American branch of the Kingsman.
The feeling that this film is a love letter to Bond films of the past really is where a lot of this films charm comes from. This film is such that seeing it only once in the cinemas would be doing yourself an injustice. It’s an ingenious way to make a sequel that delivers more of what you love while taking the material to a new level.
